Citizens Inititive Program

A Case For Destructive Creation:

  • Anchor Crossing development, with integration into the State Trail.  White Bear Lake on the west side of Hwy 61 and downtown development was/has a good strategy as a  model. Forest lake might be another.
  • Cancel/Revoke the variance for the rat and bug infested roof demolition storage area at Berwald Roofing. No special favors, let them move out of town if they don’t like it.
  • Order T.A. Schifsky to mitigate the toxic dust that is expelled into the air and drifts over the city with prevailing winds. Lower the height of the road surface piles. Petition the State of Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to take action.
  • Residency Requirement or distance from work requirements for employees- Full disclosure of real estate in the city. Implementation of a new policy. Every employee should be able to get to work in an emergency within a reasonable time and should have a vested interest in the local area.
  • Replace 7th avenue from McKnight Road to Hwy 120.  Remove all the tripping / falling hasards for elderly and dissabled with walkers and canes. properly filling holes and cracks.

This falls under the stupid category:
You want business? make it attractive, this may not be cheep but it is necessary and long over due. Now that all the feather your own nest projects are done get to work on the streets and sidewalks.

  • GPS tracking on all city vehicles. No more personal use of vehicles and picking each other up and dropping each other off on our dime. Walk, drive, ride a bike or as Mike would like take a bus.

Encourage the Mayor to sacrifice my not taking a $7,000.00 wage for being the Mayor and donate it to Silver Lake for life gaurds. Since the Mayor is useless and is only non-professional (as he stated) figure head, he should do the right thing and donate it. Don’t hold your breath though, Liberals don’t do that, they expect others to do it.

  • Cameras in all police vehicles.
  • All employees board and sitting around should pick up a shovel and move snow.
