Attorney General: Discriminatory laws do not need defending

By Associated Press

February 25, 2014

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday that state attorneys general who believe that laws in their states banning same-sex marriage are discriminatory are not obligated to defend them. For an example, he cited the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education case that led to public school integration.

“If I were attorney general in Kansas in 1953, I would not have defended a Kansas statute that put in place separate-but-equal facilities,” Holder said in an interview with The New York Times.

Holder said an attorney general should apply the highest level of scrutiny before reaching a decision on whether to defend laws that touch on core constitutional issues like equal protection. He said the decision should never be political or based on policy objections.

“Engaging in that process and making that determination is something that’s appropriate for an attorney general to do,” Holder told the Times for a story that appeared on its website late Monday.

The Problem with Liberalism. The Liberal/Statist has an insatiable appetite for control. Their sights are set on their next meal even before they have fully digested their last. They are constantly agitating for more government action, and in furtherance of that purpose, the Statist speaks in the tongue of the demagogue, concocting one pretext and grievance after another to manipulate public perceptions (ex: Chicago ministry of propaganda), and building the popular momentum for the divestiture of liberty and property from it’s rightful possessors.

This is consistent with Stalin, Wilson, and FDR’s legacy personified in America’s current political /cultural/sociological/ economic climate today undermining hundreds of years of liberty and rational thinking, even in pathological way.

The industrious and successful people are demonized (infamous Liberal name calling) as perpetrators of various offenses against the public good, which justifies the concentrated power of the federal government, and states to a lesser degree; becoming an unaccountable conglomerate of like minded ideologues.

The Statist veils their pursuits in moral indignation, intoning in high dudgeon the injustices and inequities of liberty and life itself, for which only the government can provide “justice” and bring a righteous resolution.

But when the resolution proves elusive, as it undoubtedly does–whether the Marxist or Alinskyites, promise paradise, a grand society, freedom from responsibility for ones self, the Statists demands ever more authority to wring out the imperfections of America’s imperfections and must constantly demand atonement for the sins of the past; constantly apologizes for America’s historical defects.

The Statist becomes unconstrained by the constitution as you see being played out day after day as the Obama administration itself moves ever closer to the authoritarian regime. As you can see above with the Executive Branch and lawlessness of the chief law enforcer Eric Holder.

“I have a pen, and I have phone”- Barack Obama; who has been reigned in by an albeit fractured Republican/Conservative House of Representatives (checks and balance).  So obviously, the House is the enemy, and must be pushed out the way and ignored, for the rules of a civil society are again pushed aside for the moved forward of the Statists other, or better relativistic ideas.

Why bother having laws at all.
