Once again Obama practicing Crony Capitalism. This is a long list of paybacks for his 08 and 12 presidential campaign. Remember now, Obama made an 08 promise not to take private money or donation for his campaign, then for the first time since public financing of presidential campaigns began in 1976, the Democratic nominee Obama won’t take taxpayer money. One of hundred of lies. I have lost track but the broken promises and lies are over 100. What if George Bush made 1 lie?
There is a law in place to help low-income customers have access to basic telephone service. It’s divided into two programs: Link-Up America and Lifeline.
Link-Up assists consumers with the installation costs of phone service. The program pays up to $30 of the cost of installation and up to $200 in the form of a one year, interest-free loan for additional installation costs.
Life-line provides discounts on basic monthly service at a primary residence for qualified telephone customers. These discounts can be up to $10.00 per month, or more for certain Native Americans. Generally, to qualify, your income must be at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines (these vary by location and size of family but for comparison, rings in at $22,350 for a family of four in the lower 48).
TracFone CEO F.J. Pollak has been a frequent White House visitor and his wife Abigail has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for both Mr. Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns.
*A cellphone company whose top executive has close ties to President Obama lobbied for and won a piece of a major new government push to provide Internet service to low-income job-seekers, even though critics say the company’s smartphones are poorly suited to the task of helping those in the program find work.
The program’s supporters tout it as a way for the unemployed to learn technical skills, to prepare resumes and to search for jobs, but one of the 14 pilot contracts that the FCC awarded went to Miami-based TracFone Wireless Inc.
This was initiated by the FCC and implement by them accordingly. Where does the money come from. This could give millions of dollars of month to TracFone. Do you think the FCC had this budgeted and funded through congress? or is this another part of the secret budgets and more usurpation of constitutional power by passing the purse string of Congress? The list of law breaking just keeps going.
The hits just keep coming. What about Obama’s other multitude of promises regarding special interest groups, lobbyists and influence peddling? What about even an annual budget? Nothing in 4 years. He shamlessly continues to blame the republicans and everyone else for his failures as America is being manged into it’s demise; speeches to the American public that everything is fine at the same time acting he is this deity like, wonderful, perfect and loving president who never apologizes for his lies and those broken promises–the under-informed base does not care, or is too busy smoking crack and playing angry birds.
What happened to allowing all his proposed bills be able to be read 24 hours in advance? C-span coverage and being the most transparent, the most bi-partisan president ever? He claims that everything is on the table and everyone is invited (as long as your name has D in front of it). This 100% bullshit! He rejects anything that does not fit into his world paradigm–just a degree or so away from most social dictators. That’s is, socialism and insuring generations of new entitlement dependent democratic voters.
